Data nerds: Your friends (and mentors) are all here.

The Operational Analytics Club is more than just another Slack group (we promise). Data is about community, whether you’re a technical data expert looking to gain strategic skills, an ops expert searching for more technical skills, or just a data nerd looking for more friends. Whatever you’re looking for, we’re happy you’re here.

OA Mentors

Love teaching and talking about data? Joining the OA Club as a Mentor to help your fellow data lovers. As a Mentor, you’ll get all the perks of a community member, plus resources and support specifically designed to help you further your career.

How to become a mentor

Are you interested in joining the OA Club as a mentor? We’d love to have you, but we pride ourselves in making sure community leadership aligns under a (similar) vision of the future of data, and actively contributes to the discussion and resources of the community. We don’t care about your background or how you learned data, however we do ask that you complete one or more of the following before applying:

  • Two blogs posts for the Census (OA Club’s facilitator) blog
  • One webinar for Census
  • One podcast episode on The Sequel Show
  • Speak/present at one Operational Analytics Conference
  • Answer 3 community questions about Census/OA/reverse-ETL on Twitter
  • Submit 4 snippets to the OA Club GitHub for community resources

To get started, please apply to be a mentor below (regardless of whether or not you’re finished with community contributions) and our community team will reach out to answer any questions you have.
